Upcoming Projects

So, here is the state of what is coming.

The next big thing to hit will be The King In Yellow by Matthew Broyles and myself as Ah Pook The Destroyer. It is especially good. I am in love with it.

There is a small, secret thing due out soon. It will land suddenly and unexpectedly.

Beginning in April i will start outlining a BIG project: The Posthuman War. Over the course of April i will get it all set up and ready to go, reconnect with the singers to get ranges if i dont have them (Lots of new singers and even big new characters such as Marjolein). It will be 6 Acts and each act will premiere on a Youtube listening party. Every time a new act comes out, the project will play from the beginning. The act will not be released to purchase until the entire project is complete. Normally i would have had to in order to finance the next act, but thanks to Patreon, i can do it this way.

Also in the works, probably coming out in April is a book whose working title is The Posthuman Playhouse. The title may change but essentially, i’m taking the story told in the podcast, JUST the story not the Lloyd bits, editing it, going over it carefully, and then releasing it as an ebook. The lore told in it is so central to aspects of the larger New Albion story and especially to what will happen over the next year and a half or so, that having available in a better digestible form, ie, a book, is a good idea. The editing is brutal, though, as the story was written in manic bursts with little to no editing or second drafts and over a 3 year period. But i have time right now as The Yellow King comes together and i wish to continue pausing before i start in on The Posthuman War. If you are familiar with the podcast and have better ideas for the book name, i am open.

And that will take us through at least a year. I think more, but i tend to work very obsessively once i begin so things sometimes take less time than i think. I’m trying to be careful and not rush anything, but things take as long as they take.

So stay tuned. Next up: The King In Yellow and the book The Posthuman Playhouse.

  1. Very excited for the next lot of things! Finally finding out what the secret project is will be very cool, and of course I’m very much looking forward to the postie stuff.
From an editorial perspective, I’d be aware of when you’re using transhuman and when you’re using posthuman, as far as I was aware the older posties and crossroads posties used the term transhuman, and often the playhouse gang/more current generation used the term posthuman, and in a lot of already existing canon it’s always been described as posthuman and referred to as the posthuman war, so calling it the transhuman war now feels like it removes some consistency, and also as a trans person I’ve generally preferred the term posthuman to the term transhuman.
In terms of names for the book The August Sky Playhouse might work a bit better, since there have been several playhouses throughout canon.

    1. The reason i likes transhuman is to give the word trans an extra meta human super powered shine. I would be curious to hear trans listeners’ opinions because i would abandon this instantly if they dont like it.

I would prefer Posthuman Playhouse over The August Sky Playhouse though becuase its simply a cooler name
