Steampunk Superheroes

Tragedy tomorrow. Comedy toNIGHT! Let’s have fun.

In 2003 DC comics did a two issue story in which their popular Justice League characters were reimagined as steampunk.

In the story, Superman lands on the Earth in the 1850s.  He makes his debute at the Centennial Exposition in 1876 and ends up working with Nikola Tesla and Lex Luther. Soon The Flash, Starman and Green Lantern have also been produced, but a golden age of science is offset by WWI, which also comes far earlier due on no small part of Luthor’s development of weapons of mass destruction and his selling of them to both all sides.

Obviously in Issue #2 Batman, Wonder Woman, Plastic Man and The Atom show up. Green Arrow’s in there too, somewhere:

It was written by Adisakdi Tantimedh, with art by P. Craig Russell and Galen Showman.

Ah, a nice, short blog entry. How refreshing. I am going to Belgrade tomorrow and usually when in Belgrade it just works out that i end up not really posting. So, unless i pre-write some posts (working on the Blavatsky stuff) there is chance we will not be seeing each other much this week. I thus bid you all a fond fare thee well and we shall catch up soon enough.
