It should be noted, i have discovered that making the setlist for the cocktail hour as early in the week as possible is much better for my stress level. I always have some last minute addition, but generally speaking, the earlier i know the songs i have to learn, the better. Hence i’m now throwing out this request post earlier and earlier and usually have the songs decided by saturday. So, what would you like to hear next week?
I’ve thought about doing stuff like an entire album but i think part of the attraction is that if you dont know or dont like a particular songs or medley there will be something you do know and like up next, so keeping it diverse is probably a good idea. Still, it is an idea i consider.
