The author, Cherry Jubilee, i know through the comments on this very blog (and eventually Facebook). An apt description is “Miss Jubilee is a southern lady, well schooled in social graces and the eccentricities of steamy society. When not teaching dance, she edits novels for her beloved beau, writes articles on Steampunk culture or is wheeling off into the sunset on her beloved bicycle, Daisy Bell.”
