I’m going to basically copy and paste producer Thomas Delphi’s original social media audition notice, but before i do there’s a note of two about this upcoming performance worth mentioning:
1. Dolls Of New Albion will be performed at this year’s Fringe Festival in Philadelphia, PA on September 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th, 11th, & 12th by Manayunk Theater Company. Their FB page is https://www.facebook.com/ManayunkTheatreCo?fref=ts
2. This marks the first US performance of the show. Yay!
3. More so however, if the troupe meets all their specs, gets all their funding and the production goes as planned, this performance will be the biggest, grandest and certainly highest budget version of Dolls yet attempted. Now i am not personally involved in the production, i cannot personally guarantee that it will be one way or another, but i do know to an extant the producer Thomas Delphi, and he is an impassioned, enthusiastic powerhouse of a man. If he says it’s going to rock out, take no prisoners, and leave a path of blood in its wake, i’m inclined to believe him.
4. The show will be professionally filmed and available on DVD and as a download. Not a hand held camera of the performance, professionally shot version. That’s very exciting. I am personally very excited about this particular performance. I wish i can go although i can’t say for sure. I can only afford one trip to the states this year and its theoretically planned for Halloween so that my little boy can experience Halloween and trick or treat for the first time. I cannot sacrifice his happiness for mine, so… sadness, BUT a profressionally shot version of the performance(s) WOULD go a long way to making Happy Time come.
Without further ado, the audition notice:
