I have been working on this thing round the clock for months now. Now that my youngest is in preschool, i have had more hours of the day to work, and this has been all consuming for some time now.<\/p>\n
I have more or less finished composition on the last track. it still needs some fiddling, but i could use a few days away from it now to decompress. This means composition is generally completed, although the fiddling and editing process can go on for quite some time.<\/p>\n
Psyche has sent her narration for Han Mi and i am currently pluggin it all in to the tracks. It sounds great.<\/p>\n
Liel is currently sending her tracks for Jane. Also great.<\/p>\n
Lauren has a track coming in, as does my buddy Michael Moats.<\/p>\n
I’ve got the flute track from Adrienne “AeB” Byrne and the saxophone bit seems to be done too.<\/p>\n
The douchenut who’s singing Xander has his stuff basically done, but you never know with this guy.<\/p>\n
I have some feelers out for The Mayor, but it still has not been filled.<\/p>\n
Shibara is once again doing the cover and will also do the cover for the next and last installment of the trilogy. She’s due to start sending stuff at the end of the month, very beginning of March, and i’ll post the stuff when she does. I don’t know what’s going to come after this, but likely Pixelwayve will do the art for whatever comes after the Fairypunk trilogy. Could be a one off album…(cigarette girl is still possible. After all the tech music i might want to refresh with some dieslpunk era musical vibes)… i’m likely to do a one off album before moving into the Space Opera, but don’t quote me on anything. You never really know until i actually begin work.<\/p>\n
We’re looking at pre mid March. The 10th? 12th? 15th at the very latest, but we’re now aiming for the 10th.\u00a0 It still gives me several weeks to agonize over every little note and second. I am REALLY sure about this one. Like, i get that there will always be folks who will prefer a different album or approach, and maybe the musical style of this one won’t be as pleasing as say, Weird West Cabaret. It’s all good. But even if no one likes and i get inundated with hate mail asking me to please never make music ever again because they hated this so much (there was that one guy that time…) I<\/span> know this is freaking awesome. I love this one. Maybe i say that all the time. Sometimes i’m not sure. Sometimes i am. This time, i am.<\/p>\n So… March 10th or 12th.
